It costs the Partnership $6,000 per year to educate one child. The fee that families are asked to contribute is $1,800. But for more than 90% of our parents, a third or less is all they can pay. We make up the difference through a Diocesan subsidy, matching grants from the New York-based Children’s Scholarship Fund, and other generous donors*. But it only covers a fraction of our real costs.

We see every day how the families of our children struggle valiantly to scrape together the minimum needed to attend our schools. Too often, however, the extreme economic and social realities of life in Camden take their toll. It’s not unusual that violence or a domestic disruption upsets the delicate balance and a child is suddenly living with a grandparent or cousin and paying any tuition at all is out of the question. And in that child’s life, a safe haven and a stable, loving environment are needed more than ever.

Your investment will reap enormous dividends today and in the future – for our children, their families, and the entire community. Reversing Camden’s cycle of poverty and violence depends on educating children now.

*Hundreds of generous donors contribute annually to the scholarship program at St. Joseph Pro-Cathedral School in East Camden and the Sponsor a Scholar program at Sacred Heart School in South Camden. But the Partnership is comprised of five schools educating close to 1,200 boys and girls and hundreds more children still need tuition assistance.
