Student Accounts and Financial Assistance Coordinator 

This role will have three essential functions. 1) Manage the tuition assistance process and record keeping for schools and families, 2) In collaboration with school personnel, manage the collection of delinquent student accounts, 3) Coordinate the enrollment of families into NJ Cares for Kids Child care subsidy program for Pre-K and After Care.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, collaboration, coordination, prioritization, time management, and problem solving skills. Must be bilingual. Computer proficiency is essential, especially with Microsoft Office and Google Suite. FACTS experience a plus. The ideal candidate will have student accounts, financial assistance, or collections experience. School or not-for-profit experience is a plus.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • High school graduate, college graduate preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle, required
  • Previous experience in tuition management, aid assessment, and/or family support preferred.
  • Strong computer skills  - proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Knowledge of FACTS and/or Teacher Ease a plus

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

This role will have three essential functions. 1) Manage the tuition assistance process and record keeping for schools and families, 2) In collaboration with school personnel, manage the collection of delinquent student accounts, 3) Coordinate the enrollment of families into NJ Cares for Kids Child care subsidy program for Pre-K and After Care.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

Tuition Assistance

  • Create/Update and distribute CPS financial aid applications and re-certification applications by September of each year.
  • Collect financial aid applications from each school on a weekly basis.
  • Follow-up with parents and school-based staff when incomplete applications are submitted to ensure that all information is gathered and a decision can be made in a timely manner.
  • Analyze financial aid data provided in applications, make recommendations to principals within 2 weeks of receiving a completed application.
  • Meet with parents individually as needed or requested.
  • Manage the Children’s Scholarship Fund Program for CPS.
  • Facilitate workshops for parents that will help them to understand and complete the CPS financial aid process.
  • Assemble list of parents who might be eligible for NJ Cares for Kids based on documentation provided for Tuition Assistance, encourage families to enroll, coordinate program compliance with the Enrollment Manager, Pre-K Director, B & A Care and school personnel.

 

Tuition Collection

  • Compile tuition delinquency reports for each school on a monthly basis.
  • Review tuition delinquencies with Executive Director and school-based collection point person each month.
  • Take tuition collection actions as needed – letters, emails, texts, calls and related actions.
  • Collect and track data around results of these efforts.

 

NJ Cares for Kids

  • Create a plan for contacting families who may be eligible for NJ Cares for Kids childcare subsidy.
  • Work with school-based staff and Family Support team to contact families and help them enroll in the program.
  • Meet with parents individually to help them enroll in program, especially at the beginning of the school year and before the summer program.
  • Collect and track data around outreach and enrollment in this program.
  • Ensure program compliance

Executive Administrative Assistant 

Catholic Partnership Schools is seeking an experienced Executive Administrative Assistant / Office Manager to support the Executive Director and administrative team in the daily operations of the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, collaboration, coordination, prioritization, time management, and problem solving skills. Qualified candidates will possess 3+ years of experience in an office support role. Computer proficiency is required. A bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred. Experience in a school or not for-profit environment is preferred.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactive liaison for the Executive Director in all business matters necessary
  • Provide support service for the Executive Director and administrative team
  • Manage email/appointments/contacts and calendars in MS Outlook
  • Respond to incoming vendor, client or employee requests, needs, concerns, suggestions, and maintain related contracts, etc.
  • Monitor equipment leases; and other contract renewals
  • Create and maintain up-to-date paper and electronic filing systems
  • Coordinate, organize, and facilitate meetings and retreats, take minutes, prepare reports, and maintain organizational records.
  • Collect expense reports and approve invoices
  • Coordinate all mail services, incoming and outgoing
  • Maintains personnel files, process payroll, track annual benefits renewals, maintain time records, Update Employee Handbook
  • Manage the school food programs in coordination with the schools.
  • Office liaison for Network and Computer Support Provider
  • Assist in donor/ strategic partner stewardship
  • Maintains office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; evaluating new office products; placing and expediting orders for supplies; and verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Manage facilities work orders
  • Manage special projects as designated by Executive Director
  • Perform other duties as assigned
 

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required, college degree preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years in an office support role a must.
  • School or nonprofit experience preferred
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
  • Possess an engaging personality and good communication skills, both verbal
    and written
  • Must be a critical thinker, resourceful, independent, and possess exceptional
    attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, think “out of the box” and establish priorities
  • Computer Proficient including Microsoft Office and Google Suites required.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks, Paychex, FACTS, TeacherEase, LiveBinder a plus Human Resources/Payroll experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn other PC products and software as needed

    sensitive information

Music Teacher Grades Pre-K - 8 

  • Prepares and delivers music lessons based on the Diocese of Camden Visual and Performing Arts Curriculum.
  • Assists with preparation of songs, hymns, and recitations for mass and special school events.
  • Employs a variety of teaching methods consistent with lesson objectives.
  • Sets high expectations for student achievement and behavior.
  • Uses clear and purposeful evaluation techniques that are directly related to curriculum objectives and to concepts and skills taught.
  • Provides prompt feedback on assignments and tests.
  • Interacts with students and colleagues in a mutually respectful, friendly, and just manner.
  • Communicates regularly with parents keeping them informed regarding pupil progress.
  • Upholds and enforces diocesan and school policies and regulations.
  • Keeps accurate records and reports of attendance, scholastic achievement and such as required by the school, the diocese and the state.
 
 

Substitute Teachers

Catholic Partnerships Schools is seeking Substitute Teachers, grades K-8 for five (5) Catholic schools located in Camden and Pennsauken, N.J. Substitute Teachers will ensure the continuation of the instructional program in the absence of the regular teacher.

Substitute Teacher responsibilities include:

  • Teaching lesson plans as outlined by the absent teacher
  • Creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
  • Performing all extra duties for the absent teacher as required by the building principal.
  • Assisting the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct, and, for the classroom, develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
  • Must be creative and flexible.

Candidates must have a minimum of 60 credit hours and must already have, or must be willing to undergo a criminal history check (fingerprinting).
